Anyone who's spent time in ARC Raiders knows the Matriarch event turns Spaceport into a meat grinder. People talk about "the right way" to get a Matriarch Core—big guns, a squad, perfect comms—but if you're running solo, that plan usually ends with you watching your hard-earned kit get donated to a three-stack. 2) Play the edges and read the ground

Once you're near the Matriarch area, don't step into the circle like you own it. Stay wide. Use cover. Let other players strip armor and components off the boss. Those chunks and scraps scatter, and that's your real farm. Ping from safety and actually look at what's dropped before you commit. Plenty of runs die because someone sprinted for a mid-tier cell they didn't even need. You're waiting for one thing: the Gold-tier Matriarch Core. If you don't see it, you keep breathing and keep circling. You can't outgun the chaos, but you can outlast it.

3) The grab, the pocket, the exit

When the Core finally appears, you don't "think about it." You go. Pop cloak, sprint straight in, interact fast, and don't loiter like you're shopping. The fight's visuals help you here—dust, lasers, explosions—everything makes a cloaked runner harder to pick out. The second it's in your inventory, drag it into your Safe Pocket immediately. Not after you reload. Not after you check corners. Right then. Once it's secured, your priorities flip. You're not a contestant anymore, you're a courier. Break line of sight, take the boring route, and extract like you're late for something.

Keeping it low-stress, not low-skill

People call this "ratting" like it's shameful, but it's really just risk management. You're choosing timing over pride, and you're letting other squads spend their ammo and focus while you stay sharp.
